Start with the correct document version
Current registry information, correct signing authority and a clear document chain are central to banking, KYC and incorporation matters. Ask the recipient to confirm the exact document name, the information it must contain and how recently it must have been issued.

Important for this particular document
Ask the recipient how recently the company records must have been issued and whether they need to show registration, signing authority, directors or beneficial ownership. Coordinate the dates so the complete package is current when submitted.

Original, copy or translation?
An original is the issued document. A certified copy shows that the copy has been compared with the original. A translation reproduces the content in another language but does not automatically replace requirements for an original or certification. The recipient’s instructions should therefore state which items must be submitted together.

Prepare a complete review
Scan the entire document, including reverse sides, seals and related attachments. Redact information that is not needed for the assessment, but keep relevant names, dates, issuing body, signatures and seals visible.
- Document name and issuing body
- Country and receiving organisation
- Recipient’s written requirements
- Requested submission date

What we help you clarify
You receive a clear assessment of which version should be used, which open questions the recipient needs to answer and the order in which certification, apostille, translation or legalisation may be required.
